September 3rd 1651. The Battle of Worcester. English Civil War. Worcester was held siege by the Parliamentarians, yet Worcester stayed faithful to Charles II, King of England, fighting against the Parliamentarians and helping him escape to freedom. Worcester was later named "The Faithful City".


The Black Pear is the emblem of Worcester. We have created Faithful City Pear Cider, a blend of cider and perry, commemorating the ascension of King Charles III.
